Ogres Are Like Onions...

This model has nothing to do with zombies or the post-apocalypse.  It was one of the first conversions of a GW ogre I did that had absolutely no use in any game I was playing.  But it was fun to do.  Who knows, he too may show up as a mutant in some future wasteland-type game.

  5. @Brummie - Our friendly local gaming store had a little contest called "Kick the Snotling" where evryone used ogres to do the kicking. My son used Shrek and actually won that night! That's pretty much the only action Shrek's seen so far,he's too fun a figure not to have him appear in some whacked-out post-apocalyptic game (Which is the kind I want to play).

@Adam - Let's pitch in and buy Brummie some glasses?

@Vampifan - Thanks Brian! A lot of my stuff is actually just plain vanilla, painted but no wacky conversions or anything. But I'm slowly increasing the amount of twisted/offbeat/weird pieces I have because I really enjoy making them. Sometime in the future we're going to have a big post-apocalyptic game at our local gaming store, and it's going to be one of those everything-plus-the-kitchen-sink type games with zombies, mobile man-eating plants, Nazi robots, flying pigs, radioactive mutants, Road Warrior vehicles and gangers, even the Scooby-Doo Gang (I broke down and bought them after seeing your painted figures!)...so yeah, there will be a healthy dose of tongue-in-check humor too. But I've still got a few more twisted ideas percolating in my brain, not to mention a painting queue that stretches from here to...well a place far far away... (Still waiting for Ed's PA rulebook to come out too!)

@Lord Siwoc - Thanks! This one holds a special place in my heart because it was one of my earliest conversions and the first one where I started getting a little twisted/wacky. Obviously it wasn't the last!
